Jordan Moves Closer to New Library Plan 04 Aug 11

Despite recent debates and disagreements on the Jordan city council, all council members were on board last night with a proposal from the county to combine a new senior housing facility with a new public library.

At a special work session, the county offered a package that would have the city pay $1 million for a combination senior housing-public library complex, and the county would offer a 20-year loan with three percent interest.

The council asked to move forward with the county’s proposal at its next meeting August 15.
