Jordan Mayor Charged with Disorderly Conduct 16 Aug 11

The Scott County Attorney’s Office told KCHK yesterday it is charging Jordan Mayor Pete Ewals with disorderly conduct over an alleged incident at Ballard Sunder Funeral Home last month.

Ewals allegedly got into a physical altercation with funeral home director and Reflections Crematory owner Mark Ballard in the early-morning hours July 15. Ballard applied for a restraining order the following Monday but last week agreed to dismiss his petition.

Earlier this month, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office wrapped up its investigation and forwarded the results on to the attorney’s office. Scott County Attorney Pat Ciliberto told KCHK that Ewals is facing one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and will make his first court appearance September 12.
