Maddox Sentenced to 20 Years for Wife’s Murder 17 Aug 11

Convicted murderer Charles “Tony” Maddox, Jr. was sentenced earlier today to 20 years in prison for the death of his wife, Shakopee Valley News Reporter Ruth Anne Maddox.

Scott County District Court Judge Jerome Abrams gave the 48-year-old Maddox just seven months shy of the maximum under state sentencing guidelines, saying he couldn’t ignore the “elaborate ruse” Maddox concocted to cover up his crime.

Maddox will be put on supervised release after serving two-thirds of his 360 months in prison.
