Jordan school district officials are scrambling to clean up a recently-discovered mold problem before the start of the school year.
Administrators say a damp summer and a malfunctioning cooling unit are to blame for the mold that’s contaminating the entire east side of the school.
The district ran tests on the air and carpet samples last week, and officials say they’ll know how long it will take to clean up once they get the results. They say the district is working to make sure the building is safe for the staff and 650 students to return to school on September 6th.
If you’re a parent in the district, you can find updates on the clean-up at the Jordan schools website—a link can be found on the news page at kchkradio.net.
