One injured in Lake German Boat Crash 22 Aug 11

One man was injured when another man attempted to play bumper boats on Lake German in Le Sueur County this weekend.

Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the incident on Friday morning around 11:30 a.m. 72-year-old Larry Hanson, of Austin, had been trolling across the lake when another boat, driven by 68-year-old Robert Dell, of Le Sueur, collided with Hanson’s.

Dell told authorities he didn’t see Hanson’s boat before he collided with it. He and his passenger, 62-year-old Larry Hylarides, were not injured and were released at the scene. Hanson was transported to an area hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No alcohol was involved in the incident, but the sheriff’s office says it is still under investigation.
