Suspicious Incident in Le Sueur Lands Sex Offender Back in Jail 01 Sep 11

A convicted sex offender is back behind bars after an incident at the Valleygreen Square Mall in Le Sueur.

Romeo Alba, a level two predatory offender recently released from prison, faces a felony charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of fifth-degree assault in connection with the August 24 incident.

According to the complaint, the Le Sueur Police Department was contacted by a woman who said a Hispanic male had asked one of her granddaughters to take his picture, and then allegedly took hold of the girl by her arm. The girl broke loose and ran away.

The 35-year-old Alba, of Gaylord, was arrested in Sibley County and transported to the Le Sueur County Law Enforcement Center. He denies having a camera or making any contact with the girl.
