Sheriffs’ scholarship to help fund law enforcement education 02 Sep 11

A brand new scholarship program will provide assistance to area students seeking an education in law enforcement.

The Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association has established a scholarship fund for the awarding of (15) $600 scholarships for this year.

Scott County Sheriff Kevin Studnicka invites area individuals to apply if you are attending a peace officers skills course, or currently pursuing a two- or four-year law enforcement or criminal justice degree.

Applications are due October 15, and scholarship awards will be announced by December 31. Application forms and a statement of procedures are available at kchkradio.net, and you are encouraged to find more information at the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
