Alcohol involved in crash that killed young Chanhassen woman 16 Sep 11

The 18-year-old Chanhassen woman killed in a crash in Carver early this month had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit for a person of legal drinking age, according to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office.

Bridgette Twining had a blood-alcohol level of .27 when she died in a crash the night of September 3.

Twining was driving on County Road 40 just west of downtown Carver when she attempted to pass another vehicle, over-corrected, slid sideways into a ditch and struck some trees.

A passenger is Twining’s car was taken to the hospital with injuries.
