That’s according to store employees who then contacted Burnsville police when they spotted possible child pornography files on the man’s computer.
The tip led to a search of Donald John Hofmann’s Shakopee home in November 2009. Analysis by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children confirmed that 58 files contained identified child victims from 25 different sets of pornography.
Shakopee police detectives say Hofmann admitted viewing some “questionable” material on his computer. The 58-year-old has been charged with one felony count of child pornography possession and was released from jail on $5,000 bail. His next hearing is scheduled for October 24.
