Carver County Deputy Chris Wagner was recently recognized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for her outstanding assistance in a joint criminal investigation.
On September 22, 2010, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a Carver resident who had received threats of kidnapping and ransom. Kim Hutterer, a 47-year-old New Prague woman, was arrested and pleaded guilty to felony charges for terroristic threats.
A joint investigation between the FBI and the Carver County Sheriff’s Office was launched due to the discovery of threats by Hutterer against a Federal Bureau of Prisons employee and an FBI agent. Deputy Wagner apprehended the suspect in the incident and also received a full confession from her about her crimes. Hutterer pleaded guilty to the federal charges in July.
