Several road closures and delays are expected this weekend as crews take advantage of unseasonably warm weather to finish projects around the area.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed westbound Highway 169/60 south of Mankato from Blue Earth County Road 33 to Highway 68 for emergency repairs. Crews are fixing a hole in the road surface and investigating an area where the road subgrade is undermined.
Westbound Highway 169/60 will remain closed until further notice.
Motorists will be detoured to Blue Earth County Road 33 and Blue Earth County Road 90.
Motorists could also experience delays and detours at Interstate Highway 35W and Highway 13 in Burnsville as crews continue to construct a new MnPASS Express Lane and resurface the roadway.
Most of the intersection ramps and loops will close at 8 p.m. Saturday and reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting. Detours will be posted using Burnsville Parkway and Cliff Road.
