Wild’s Pierre-Marc Bourchard suspended 2 games 10 Oct 11

Oct 9 (Reuters) – Minnesota Wild forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard has been suspended for two games without pay for a high-sticking incident in his team’s season opener against Columbus, the NHL announced on Sunday.

Bouchard hit Columbus forward Matt Calvert in the face and received a double-minor penalty in Saturday’s game.

The Wild, who won the game 4-2, will be without Bouchard against the New York Islanders on Monday and Ottawa on Tuesday.

He is eligible to return against Edmonton on Oct. 13.
