Child pornography charge brings sex offender back to Shakopee 17 Oct 11

A Shakopee man who was sent to prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Wisconsin was back in town last month to face charges of child pornography possession.

Jamie Sames, 37, pleaded guilty Sept. 30 to two counts of child pornography possession stemming from a fall 2009 raid in his home. Two other counts were dismissed.

Sames was under investigation by Shakopee police for that case when he observed a girl shoplifting in Appleton, Wisc., in March 2010 and lured her behind a Target store.

Sames was sentenced in Scott County District Court to 25- and 30-month sentences, but he will serve them concurrently in Wisconsin with his 10-year prison sentence.
