U.S. Congressman John Kline spent some time near Le Sueur late last month to meet with ag industry leaders and discuss looming federal regulations that could impact local agriculture.

The hour-long roundtable at the home of Greg Schwarz focused on issues like the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) concerns with farm dust – a potential regulation Kline does not care for.

The Le Sueur News-Herald reports that other topics at the Oct. 20 meeting included trade agreements to help farmers, water quality, and the need for high-speed internet access in rural areas.
