Paragon Bank in downtown Shakopee was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday morning by a masked man who made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Shakopee Daily News reports police were called to the bank around 11:30 a.m. Bank employees describe the robber as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 19 to 29 years old. He was dressed in all black and escaped through the back entrance of the bank. It is unknown whether he left in a vehicle or on foot.

This is the second time in three years that Paragon Bank has been robbed. The suspect in the first case is not suspected in this instance, as he is serving time in prison for an unrelated crime.
