Randolph public school students have the day off today after a suspected electrical fire closed the school yesterday.
Classes and other activities were canceled when the fire was reported in a bathroom shortly before 7:30 yesterday morning. There were no injuries reported, and the few students who were in the building were evacuated.
All grades, kindergarten through 12, meet in the same building for the 585-student district in southern Dakota County.
Superintendent Mike Kelley told the Star Tribune damage to the building was limited to soot and smoke.
