Area police are saying an armed man suspected of robbing banks in Prior Lake and Shakopee in the last few weeks has done it again – this time in Arden Hills.

A masked suspect, dressed in all black, robbed a TCF Bank branch on Sunday. His description is similar to suspect descriptions in robberies at Prior Lake State Bank, Paragon Bank in Shakopee and others around the metro, although FBI officials have not formally made a connection between the crimes. In each instance, the robber has displayed a handgun, demanded money, and gotten away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

This weekend, law enforcement caught a break: someone witnessed the man’s getaway car and described it as a cream-colored Mitsubishi Galant.

The suspect in the Arden Hills robbery is described as a white man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and he wore a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.
