The former chairman of the Carver County Republican Party will undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation as he faces charges of criminal sexual conduct against a minor.
Paul Zunker, 36, who lives in Chanhassen, faces two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a person under age 16. During a court appearance last week, his attorney requested the evaluation prior to a scheduled plea hearing in February.
Zunker is accused of sexually touching an alleged female victim on several occasions between August 2010 and August 2011. He was the chairman of the county Republican Party until he was officially charged on Sept. 9 and a new party leader was selected Sept. 15.
