A North Mankato man admitted in court Wednesday the details of how he beat his 3-month-old son to death in a Sept. 22, 2010 incident.
Christopher Farris, 28, repeatedly answered “yes” as his attorney described how Farris bruised the boy’s face by forcing a pacifier into the crying child’s mouth, how Farris violently shook the boy and then bit the boy’s cheek after he was no longer responsive.
Farris also admitted he did not attempt CPR or call 911 before bringing his son’s body to the hospital.
Farris avoided a scheduled January trial with Wednesday’s plea of second-degree murder while committing the felony charge of child endangerment. He faces 10 to 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced next month.
