‘Man in Black’ continues to strike metro banks 22 Dec 11

A serial bank robber who began his spree two months ago in Prior Lake and Shakopee is suspected in his 12th armed robbery in the metro area.

The FBI says the suspect in Tuesday’s robbery of Franklin Bank in Minneapolis is the now-infamous “Man in Black,” although for the second time in as many weeks the robber was wearing a tan-colored jacket.

Other than his jacket color, the suspect description has been similar in each case. The man is described as a white man in his mid-30s, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. He always wears a black ski mask and gloves, blue jeans, and brandishes a small, black handgun.

If you have any information on the robberies, you are urged to call the FBI at (612) 376-3200.
