A Lakeville man is charged with stealing items from a Belle Plaine woman’s house earlier this month.
Corey Christopher Ladue, 42, is charged with felony second-degree burglary for robbing a woman’s house on North Chestnut Street in Belle Plaine and taking items including an iPod docking station, camcorder and move projector.
A person working at a business near the women’s home saw Ladue’s truck the morning of Dec. 12. Belle Plaine police arrested him in Lakeville Dec. 16 after finding the items in his truck. Ladue admitted the items were in his vehicle, but he justified taking them, claiming the woman owed him money.
He paid a $20,000 bond and is due back in court Jan. 9.
