After Hit-and-run, Lakeville man airlifted from second crash 10 Jan 12

A Lakeville man was thrown from his pick-up truck on Cedar Avenue Monday morning, just moments after fleeing the scene of another hit-and-run accident with another vehicle.

According to police, Jason Fields, 40, of Lakeville, had to be airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center early Monday after being thrown from his vehicle.

After arriving at the scene Lakeville Police learned Fields had been fleeing the scene of another accident where he rear-ended Andrew Rundell, 34, also of Lakeville. Rundell was not injured in the accident.

Field’s updated condition was not available as of Tuesday afternoon.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, according to Lakeville Police, who are receiving help with the investigation from the Minnesota State Patrol.
