Motorists making their way through Savage will encounter delays outside of the regular rush hour starting Wednesday as both directions of Highway 13 between the Highway 13/101 intersection and 126th street will be closed starting at 10 a.m.
According to a press release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the closure is needed as crews set bridge grinders as part of the Highway 13/101 interchange project.
A detour will be in place to direct motorists to County Road 21, as well as County Road 18 and County Road 42.
All lanes of Highway 13 will be re-opened by 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and all local area businesses will be easily accessible by using frontage roads Zinran Avenue and Dakota Avenue.
