MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – A child inside a van that was stolen in Minneapolis has been found safe.
Police say the van used to transport developmentally disabled children was stolen shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday when the driver left the vehicle to pick up a passenger. A 7-year old child was left in the van.
Police spokesman Sgt. William Palmer says a family friend found the child unharmed a few blocks away. Police are looking for a white Windstar van that may have “Cedar Transport” on its side. The Star Tribune says the van’s license plate is 610-GPP.
