National American Legion Commander to visit Montgomery Wed. 08 Feb 12

The Montgomery community will have a special visitor this evening when the National Commander of the American Legion stops by the Montgomery American Legion Post for a social hour and traditional Czech dinner.

Fang A. Wong, a Vietnam veteran, is touring Minnesota this week and stopping at 12 state posts. Other stops on the tour include the American Legion Posts in Faribault, Chanhassen, and Winona.

During last fall’s national convention in Minneapolis, Wong was elected the national commander of the 2.4 million-member American Legion. Tonight’s event at the Montgomery American Legion will start with a social hour at 5 p.m., and a pork and dumpling dinner to follow.
