The Interstate 494/Highway 169 interchange project will take a major toll on traffic this weekend when Highway 169 closes in both directions at 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
The loop ramps from Hwy. 169 to I-494 will also close at this time. Access to Eden Prairie Center, local businesses and neighborhoods adjacent to the Highway 169/I-494 interchange will remain open and available during the closure.
Posted detours will direct motorists to bypass the closure via Highway 212, Highway 62 and Highway 100.
The closure is necessary as Minnesota Department of Transportation crews place beams that span the roadway for the new flyover bridge from westbound I-494 to southbound Hwy. 169 as part of the Highway 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project.
Highway 169 and all ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20.
