DULUTH, Minn. (AP) – An anti-racism campaign in Duluth has prompted a white supremacy group to schedule a local rally.
Organizer Robert Hester says his group, Supreme White Alliance, will hold a rally at the Duluth Civic Center plaza on Saturday, March 3. Hester tells the Duluth News Tribune that 20 to 100 people are expected to attend, mainly from outside the area.
Sponsors of the Un-Fair anti-racism campaign, including the YWCA, say the campaign seeks to draw attention to racial inequalities in the Twin Ports.
Police say a permit for Hester’s group would be needed if it’s using a public address system. The group has not applied for a permit.
