Missing snowmobiler found severely injured 12 Mar 12

A Mankato man who went missing while snowmobiling in northern Minnesota Friday has been found with severe injuries.

St. Louis County authorities say 41-year-old John Bastian of Mankato was riding with a group of snowmobilers Friday evening on the Arrowhead Snowmobile Trail near Cook. He got separated from the group, and was reported missing after he failed to show up at his destination.

A Duluth News Tribune report said Bastian was found by a passer-by on the Arrowhead Trail around 9 a.m. Saturday. He has been hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
