Authorities say he was then severely beaten by Travis Warren Denis, 26, also of Shakopee. When police arrived, Letourneau was lying in a pool of his own blood with his eyes swollen shut, and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

A SWAT team was called in to apprehend Denis, who was hiding in an upstairs bedroom in the townhome. He has been charged with first-degree felony assault.
