Savage officer injured in January crash released from hospital 02 Apr 12

A Savage police officer injured in a January car crash has been released from the hospital after an almost three-month stay.

Officer Frank Mackall was responding to an early morning police call in the beginning of January when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and then slid into a tree.

Mackall suffered a traumatic head injury in the incident and spent 84 days at North Memorial Medical Center before being released March 27.

According to WCCO, Mackall will continue to recover from his home in Cottage Grove with his wife and three kids.
