Bicyclist struck and killed in East Bethel 18 Apr 12

EAST BETHEL, Minn. (AP) – A bicyclist has been struck and killed in Anoka County.

The sheriff’s department says the 42-year-old man was crossing a boulevard in East Bethel when he was hit by a car about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/I1TMHG) says he was airlifted to Regions Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old driver cooperated with investigators and was not arrested.

The identity of the bicyclist has not been released.
