Minneapolis, Minn. (AP) – Rudy Gay had 28 points and nine rebounds to help the Memphis Grizzlies withstand a weak start to the fourth quarter and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves for the eighth straight time, 91-84 on Tuesday night.

J.J. Barea scored a season-high 28 points on 5-for-9 shooting from 3-point range to go with eight assists and five rebounds, but consecutive game in April. They have three more tires this season to stop that streak.
Zach Randolph added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who moved within two games of the Los Angeles Clippers for fourth place in the Western Conference and crept closer toward clinching a playoff spot.
Love will have concussion tests on Wednesday
Minneapolis, Minn. (AP) – Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love says he will take concussion tests on Wednesday and hopes to return to the court before the season ends.
Love has missed four straight games with a concussion and strained neck that he suffered in the game against Denver on April 11.
Love says that after five or six difficult days, he started feeling much better Tuesday.
Love didn’t anticipate any issues with the concussion exam, which is required by the league before a player is cleared to play. He does not expect to make the trip to Detroit for their game against the Pistons on Thursday, but holds out hope he could be back for the Warriors on Sunday.
Love is averaging 26 points and 13.3 rebounds per game.
