Two people suspected in a number of thefts from area libraries have been apprehended.
The suspects were taken into custody Tuesday at the Washington County Library in Woodbury. They are believed to have stolen things like nursing exams preparation materials and medical study guides from the Chanhassen and Chaska libraries late last week.
Carver County officials had described the suspects as a family who has used over 31 aliases with fake addresses.
The man and woman, carrying an infant car seat, attempted to get library cards using a temporary driver’s license at the Chanhassen, Chaska and Norwood Young America libraries on Monday. The two are also believed to have stolen items from the Watertown Library.
