Man sentenced to prison for armed robbery at Prior Lake casino 26 Apr 12

A Chaska man will spend almost five years behind bars for robbing a couple outside Little Six Casino in Prior Lake last year.

Ahi Alajuwan Montgomery, 25, pleaded guilty in Scott County District Court to first-degree aggravated robbery in March.

In the early morning hours of August 8, 2011, Montgomery robbed a Brooklyn Park couple at gunpoint in the parking lot of the casino. He fled with a wallet and purse, but Prior Lake police were able to track him down thanks to surveillance video from the casino.

Montgomery was sentenced this week to 78 months of prison. He will spend 52 months at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, and 26 months on supervised release.
