Gophs get high-profile home football slate for ’15 22 May 12

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Tickets won’t be on sale for several years, but Minnesota’s home football games in 2015 could have quite the high profile.

The Big Ten revealed its 2015 and 2016 slates on Monday. After a four-year absence from their schedule, the Gophers will face Ohio State at TCF Bank Stadium on Oct. 31, 2015. Minnesota also will host Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin that season. The Gophers will play at Ohio State on Nov. 5, 2016, their first trip there since 2009.

With the 12-team setup, the Gophers play the Badgers every year but only two of the other five Leaders Division teams each season. Illinois and Purdue are scheduled this year, Penn State and Indiana appear in 2013 and 2014 and Ohio State and Purdue are up for 2015 and 2016.
