Brent O’Connell is the son of Paula and Mike O’Connell. He hit .419 with 8 RBI and a .538 OB%.
Joey Braun LeSueur-Henderson HS Pitcher Senior
Joey Braun is the son of Amy and Monty Braun. His pitching record showed a 6-1 won-loss record, a 2.58 ERA, 35 IP with 22 strikeouts and 19 walks. He had three complete games and one shutout.
Jake Nelson LeSueur-Henderson HS 1B Senior
Jake Nelson is the son of Lynn Wilmes and Larry Nelson. He hit .333 with an OB% of .480. His fielding percentage was .989 making only one error on 88 chances.
Tim Swanson NYA Central HS Pitcher Senior
Tim Swanson had a great year on the mound for the Raiders. He pitched every big game and was in control all of the time. He posted a 5-1 record with an ERA of 0.69 in 40.2 innings. He walked only 11 batters and added 27 strikeouts. He really stepped up when another one of the Raider pitchers went down. Tim is the son of Mic and Barb Swanson of Cologne. Conference coaches named him as the league Most Valuable Pitcher.
Tim Willems NYA Central HS Pitcher/OF Senior
Tim Willems had a great season coming off a football injury to his knee. He worked extremely hard to get back into playing shape and was a leader on and off the field with his great work ethic. Tim batted .436 in MRC play for the Raiders, going 17/35. He had a .600 slugging percentage and OB% of .609. He also won three of four games on the mound with 31 strikeouts in 30 innings. His ERA was 2.54. He will be greatly missed next year. Tim is the son of Bob and Jill Willems of Hamburg.
Isaac Hormann NYA Central HS Shortstop Freshman
Isaac Hormann was the strength up the middle making plays and running the team defense. As Isaac played better, the wins started to build up. He hit .386 with an OB% of .481 and a slugging percentage of .500. He led the team with 17 hits and 13 runs scored. Isaac also led in innings played and will be looked upon to bring leadership and love for the game to the park for the next three years. Isaac is the son of Dewey and Karla Hormann of Norwood Young America.
Trevor Latzke Belle Plaine HS Pitcher/IF Senior
Trevor Latzke was the leader of the Tiger pitching staff throwing 38.1 innings. He had a 4-1 won-loss record with a 0.91 ERA. He was also one of the top hitters with a .339 BA while driving in 8 runs and scoring six. Trevor was an extremely hard worker who dedicated himself in the off-season to get better. This really paid off for him. He is the son of Steve and Lori Latzke.
Derek Dahlke Belle Plaine HS Pitcher/IF Sophomore
Derek Dahlke was the most consistent hitter for the Tigers and finished with a .333 BA, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases. Nine of his 22 hits were for extra bases. He was also successful on the mound and was second on the team with 30 innings pitched. He had two wins with a 2.33 ERA to go along with 22 strikeouts. He had many clutch hits including a game-winning, walk off homerun in extra innings against TCU. He is the son of Darwin and Susan Dahlke.
Matt Ruehling Belle Plaine HS 1B Senior
Matt was a top defensive player for the Tigers and saved a lot of runs with his defense. He was always in position and really helped stabilize a young infield that did a lot of position switching early in the year. At the plate, Matt drove in six runs while collecting five extra base hits. He was the team leader throughout the season and was like having a coach on the field. Matt is the son of Dan and Becky Ruehling.
Micah Hennen Jordan HS Shortstop Senior
Micah Hennen is the son of Tom and Heather Hennen. He hit .409 (18/44), OB% of .471, slugging percentage of .591, 14 RBI, BA/RSP of .556. He had one homerun and 5 doubles. He struck out only four times. His fielding % was .898 on 5 errors in 44 chances.
Nathan Beckman Jordan HS Pitcher/3B Junior
Nathan Beckman is the son of Ron and Pam Beckman. He threw 40.33 innings with an ERA of 2.60. He had 51 strikeouts, 62.6% first pitch strikes, .229 opponent’s BA, and a 2-4 W-L record. He fielded at a .893 clip on just six errors in 50 chances.
Jon Kreuser Jordan HS Pitcher/3B Junior
Jon Kreuser is the son of Dan and Patty Kreuser. He hit .333 (15/45), OB% of .380, BA/RSP .450, slugging % of .489, one homerun, 4 doubles, and 10 RBI. He fielded at .882 on four errors in 30 chances. On the pitching side, he threw 27.33 innings, 3.33 ERA, 16 strikeouts with 67.7% first pitch strikes. Opponents hit .250 against him and he had a 2-2 W-L record.
Ed Reichenbach Sibley East HS 1B/Pitcher Senior
Ed Reichenbach hit .388 for the Wolverines, OB% of .438, slugging % of .612. He had 26 hits, nine doubles, two homeruns, and 23 RBI. From the mound, he had a 2-1 won-loss record with a 1.34 ERA.
Lucas Schwope Sibley East HS 3B/Pitcher Senior
Lucas Schwope hit .323 with an OB% of .382. His slugging % was .516 with 20 hits, five doubles, two triples, and one homerun. He had 14 RBI. On the pitching side of things, his ERA was 1.76.
Brody Rodning Sibley East HS Pitcher Sophomore
Brody Rodning had a 3-2 won-loss record with a 0.80 ERA. He had 56 strikeouts, giving up only 11 hits in 35 IP. He threw two no-hitters.
Matt Schreder Watertown-Mayer HS Pitcher/CF Senior
Matt Schreder threw 36 innings for the Royals with a 3.69 ERA. He had a 2-5 won-loss record with one save. He was a three-year starter in CF with only one error. Matt is the son of Dan & Kris Schreder.
Matt Elsenpeter Watertown-Mayer HS Shortstop Junior
Matt Elsenpeter hit .360 with an OB% of .475. He had 18 hits to go along with nine walks. He had 3 stolen bases. Matt is the son of Mark and Anne Elsenpeter.
Max Zitzloff Watertown-Mayer HS Pitcher Junior
Max Zitzloff threw 39 innings with 48 strikeouts. He had a 3-2 won-loss record with a 2.15 ERA. Max is the son of Cory and Allison Zitzloff.
Grant Noennig Mayer Lutheran HS CF Senior
Senior centerfielder Grant Noennig hit .377 with 11 runs scored, 8 RBI, and three stolen bases. He had just two errors in the field. He also did some relief pitching for the Crusaders.
Ryan Iverson Tri-City United HS 1B Junior
Ryan Iverson led the Titans in hitting and RBI this season. He was a very hard worker in practice and in the off-season. He moved from behind the plate to first base this season and was a team leader.
