Long Lake man drowns in Lake Independence 11 Jun 12

MEDINA, Minn. (AP) – Authorities have identified a man who died in a western Hennepin County lake.

The medical examiner said Sunday that 67-year-old Charles Dollar drowned Thursday on Lake Independence. His death was ruled an accident.

Dollar was reported missing Thursday night after going fishing alone that morning. His boat was later found adrift on the lake. A diver found his body in about six and a half feet of murky water Friday near the Baker Park boat launch.
