MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Charges could be filed Monday against two juveniles arrested in a shooting in Minneapolis that killed a 5-year-old boy.
Nizzel George was sleeping on a couch at his grandmother’s house in north Minneapolis last Tuesday when he was hit by a stray bullet. Police arrested two juveniles in Columbia Heights on Thursday.
About 120 people turned out for a vigil Saturday night in the neighborhood where George died. Residents say they will set up a community crime watch and will attempt to persuade armed teens to give up their guns.
