Le Center man suffers serious neck injury after diving into shallow water 05 Jul 12

(Le Center, MN) - On July 4, 2012 at approximately 1:12 PM LeSueur Elysian Fire and Rescue, Rivers Edge Ambulance responded to a report of an individual that was injured after he dove off the dock located at a cabin on German Lake.

On further investigation It was determined that Cooper Tenney age 19 of rural Waseca had dove off a dock into shallow water and never surfaced. After a very short period of time he was brought to the surface by people that were on the scene and he was deemed to be unresponsive and in full arrest. CPR was immediately administered by people on scene and continued by Deputies and EMS as they arrived.

Mayo Air Ambulance arrived on the scene and Cooper was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. EMS on scene reported that prior to the victim being transported by the Air Ambulance the vitals of the victim had been restored but he was still unconscious.

The last information that was received on the victim was that he sustained a serious injury to his neck and would be going into surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester
