More On Rush City Boy’s Drowning 05 Jul 12

(Rush City, MN) — Authorities in Chisago County say a five-year-old boy drowned at Round Lake. Investigators believe that Matthew Siefert of Rush City had gone down to a dock to get a life jacket Tuesday evening when he fell in the water. Deputies say Matthew’s family told him he needed to wear a life jacket to go swimming in the lake.

A short time later they couldn’t find him. By the time deputies arrived, family and friends had pulled Matthew from the water. He was dead at the scene, his life jacket on the dock.
