(Moorhead, MN) – A letter from American Crystal Sugar to its locked-out workers is causing quite a stir. The letter invites the employees back to work under terms of the company’s final offer, adding that the company is getting “many telephone calls from locked-out employees,” inquiring about available jobs. Union President John Riskey says such direct communication may be a violation of the law. Riskey says the letter, signed by Vice-President Brian Ingulsrud, proves the company is desperate for experienced employees. American Crystal Spokesman Jeff Schweitzer says the letter speaks for itself.
