Minnesota’s Eduardo Escobar hit a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Twins past the Tigers 3-2 at Target Field yesterday. Wilkin Ramirez had a pinch-hit RBI-double in the seventh for the Twins, who evened the season-opening series at a game apiece. Kevin Correia gave up two runs over seven frames in a no-decision. Glen Perkins was credited with the win after pitching a perfect ninth. Miguel Cabrera had a pair of RBI singles for Detroit. Anibal Sanchez tossed five innings of two-hit, shutout ball. He was denied the win after Phil Coke served up the walk-off hit to Escobar in the ninth. The two teams wrap up the series with a noon game today in Minneapolis.
