Minnesota’s Kevin Correia tossed eight innings of six-hit ball as the Twins shutout the Rangers 5-0 yesterday at Target Field. Correia improved to 3-and-1 and lowered his season ERA to 2.23. Justin Morneau lifted a two-run homer for Minnesota, which earned a split of this four-game series at Target Field. Josh Willingham scored twice for the Twins. Mitch Moreland and Leonys Martin were each 2-for-3 for Texas, which was outscored 12-2 in the final two games of the series. Alexi Ogando gave up three runs over six innings to drop to 2-and-2.
