Verlander improved to 3-and-2 for Detroit, which has taken the first two of the three-game set. Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder each hit two-run homers in the win. Vance Worley fell to 0-and-4, giving up all six runs in four-and-two-thirds innings. Wilkin Ramirez plated the only run for Minnesota on a double in the second inning.
