Minnesota’s Joe Mauer and Chris Parmelee both clubbed solo homers in the seventh inning as the Twins doubled up the Brewers 6-3 in the opener of a two-game series at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Ryan Doumit drove in two, while Justin Morneau and Pedro Florimon also plated a run each for Minnesota, which has won two-of-three after a ten-game losing streak. Kevin Correia gave up three solo homers across six innings to improve his record to 5-and-4. Glen Perkins closed it out for his tenth save. Former Twin Carlos Gomez homered twice for the second time in three games and Jean Segura also went deep for the Brewers, who have dropped three in-a-row and six-of-eight overall. Wily Peralta permitted four runs, three earned, in five frames as he fell to 3-and-6 with his fourth consecutive loss.
