Twins Host Tigers This Weekend

The Twins open up a three-game weekend series with the Detroit Tigers tonight at Target Field. Scott Diamond will take the mound for Minnesota. He is 4-and-5 with a 5.19 ERA in 11 starts this season. The Tigers will counter with Rick Porcello, who is 3-and-3 with a 4.86 ERA.

Twins Sign Two Draft Picks

The Twins signed two of their draft picks on Thursday. The club inked catchers Stuart Turner, a third round pick, and Brian Navaretto, a sixth round selection. In other team news, the Twins signed pitcher Cody Eppley to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Rochester.
