MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Police in Minneapolis are still searching for the driver who ran a stop sign and struck and killed a bicyclist.
The bicyclist, 24-year-old Jessica Hanson, was bicycling to her boyfriend’s house late Wednesday when she was hit at an intersection in south Minneapolis. Police say the car was speeding and had its lights off when it ran the stop sign.
Hanson died on Friday. She was not wearing a helmet. Her relatives and neighbors in the city’s Uptown area have pleaded with the driver to go to the police.
