Houston’s Trevor Crowe doubled home Jonathan Villar with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Houston topped Minnesota 6-5 in the finale of a three-game series yesterday in Houston. Villar hit a leadoff single against Brian Duensing and was sacrificed to second before scoring when Crowe’s hit to left rolled deep enough to score the speedy Villar to end the contest. The hit made a winner of reliever Erik Bedard, who allowed three hits, including the game-tying homer to Ryan Doumit in the top of the ninth. The Twins are off today and will begin a ten-game homestand tomorrow night with a game against Toronto. The Blue Jays are in town for three-games over the weekend.
