VILINGS MAKE ROOM FOR FREEMAN 09 Oct 13

The Vikings have waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson to clear a roster spot for new quarterback Josh Freeman.  The team signed Freeman on Monday after he was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.  The 25-year-old spent his first five seasons in Tampa, throwing for 13,534 yards with 80 touchdowns and 66 interceptions in 60 career games.  Minnesota returns to the practice field today and will host Carolina on Sunday.

 Super Bowl 52 Finalists Revealed

The finalists for Super Bowl 52 are set.  The NFL announced that Minneapolis, Indianapolis and New Orleans are the three remaining cities being considered to host the NFL’s championship game in 2018.  The Vikings could be the front-runner with a new stadium scheduled to b complete by then.  The cities will present their bids to league owners at their spring meeting next May.
