Harold “Bud” Eugene Castor, age 91 of Belle Plaine, died on December 16, 2013 at the Lutheran
Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Thursday, December 19 at the
Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Rev. Ed Fredrich will officiate. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle
Bud was born in Shakopee on August 6, 1922 to Willis and Martha (Pedersdorf) Castor. He
grew up in Blakeley and later moved into Belle Plaine. On September 21, 1963 he married Irene
Bigaouette in Belle Plaine, Fr. Omar Bruck presided. Bud worked as a metal press operator at
Federal Stampings in Bloomington and also as a bartender. He retired from Federal in 1984. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. He was a member of the Belle Plaine
American Legion and VFW. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leon and Dale
Castor, and brother-in-law, Bill Herrmann.
Bud is survived by his wife, Irene,
Sister, Lorraine Herrmann of Le Sueur,
Many nieces and nephews.
